Explore Santorini

Santorini or Thira, is a true natural beauty and one of the most sought-after travel destinations in the world. It is actually a complex of islands, including the main island of Thira and four charming islets, Thirassia, Aspronisi, Palea and Nea Kameni, the last two being the volcanoes that have created the bold surreal backdrop of the Caldera.

Admired from the Caldera cliffs, the panoramic view of Santorini, is an impressive sight to behold. This awe-inspiring, unique landscape is going to leave you speechless. The legendary sunset of Santorini is an ultimate must-see, unfolding an exceptional palette of soft-hued colours before your eyes: tangerine orange, cotton-candy pink, light-steel blue, sandy brown and dark-slate gray, composing a painting of natural impressionism.

Apace with the Caldera lies the capital of the island, Fira. This picturesque village nests in the bosom of the Caldera, and is ideal for shopping and enjoying great coffee or culinary delights at the local cafes and restaurants. Other villages of Santorini you may wanna visit are Firostefani and Imerovigli both having a unique view of the archipelago of the island. Pyrgos, a village of medieval ambiance, Megalochori, and Akrotiri, that occupies an important archaeological site, are all pretty inland villages worth visiting as well. Ancient Thira in Kamari, the museum of Prehistoric Thira, the Archaeological Museum, the Folklore museum, the two Cathedrals, cultural centers and art galleries located in Fira should be a part of your itinerary.

Enjoy the crystal clear Aegean sea, while exploring Santorini’s seaside gems and beaches with red, white or black sand or pebbles, striking geological formations and surreal lunar landscapes. Red beach, White beach, Perivolos, Kamari and Perissa, are some of the beaches whose terrain you will undoubtedly find unparalleled and will surely make most of, while sunbathing or enjoying the sea.

This crescent-shaped island displays the perfect scenery for sailing with a catamaran or a traditional boat, or snorkeling in the sapphire-blue waters near the Caldera, that is sure to amaze you with its fierce unaffected beauty.

In Santorini, you also have the opportunity to visit the wineries, learn about the production of the famous Santorini wine and surprise your palate with a taste of singular wine varieties infused with a rich volcanic earthly taste.
